About Us

Asphalt Testing Services was established in March 2020 to fulfill the needs of those who produce, place, and utilize asphalt materials.

ATS has over 60 years of combined experience in the asphalt industry with a specific focus on asphalt materials. ATS is privately owned and operated by its founders with the current President Jarrett Welch, Vice-President Tom Morgan and Officers Greg Morgan and Matthew Elam. Jarrett brings forth entrepreneurial leadership that has built ATS to its current status and his vision continues to serve as a commitment to the asphalt pavement and construction industry.

What we do

Our experience originated working for asphalt suppliers in the quality control department. The knowledge gained during that time gives us a unique perspective and expertise on how contractors supply and construct asphalt pavements and how it relates to the long-term performance of a pavement under traffic conditions.

ATS specializes in asphalt pavement materials for design, construction, and research & development with complimentary additives and technologies. We provide testing services throughout the process from the aggregate quarry to production and placement including the analysis of asphalt emulsions and binders.

Our Process

We collaborate with our clients on an individual basis to determine their precise needs and work as a team to build quality into the pavement throughout the entire process. We believe in doing it right the first time at the best possible cost.

ATS has the expertise and experience providing quality testing services whether it is constructing a parking lot, roadway, highway, or airport runway. We have the capability to provide services throughout the entire process not only for process control and owner’s acceptance testing but also for the project management aspect.

ATS is an accredited laboratory by the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) for testing of soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials. We are also members of the Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association and the Wyoming Association of General Contractors.
